Rapunzel was founded in 2000 by Julie-Anne and Ashley, a mother and daughter team. Julie-Anne’s background was that of Pharmacology & Trichology. Ashley’s was in Gemology hence her amazing eye for colour & detail. Now with over 25 years experience gained in hair loss solutions, hair extensions and sourcing quality hair.
Ashley has also added level 4 Physiology & Anatomy to her qualifications, with in-depth expert training in stem cell hair restoration, mesotherapy & micro needling.
Our beautiful salon & private clinic is located in the bustling and vibrant town of Marlow in South Bucks. The salon is a relaxing and welcoming environment. We have separate private consultation rooms to discuss your requirements in confidence.
About us
Female hair loss has been the focus of our business, equating to approximately 80% of our work. This can be hair loss of varying degrees from excess shedding due to illness to full blown Alopecia Totalis: whatever the problem, we have the knowledge to help you hide it. Ashley has great understanding and compassion towards hair loss sufferers, as has had first hand experience of the effect hair loss can have on a woman's life. Many people can not comprehend the deep personal impact of the condition.
In the Rapunzel team we have: an experienced stylist; colour technician; hair loss technician and junior extensionists so all your hairdressing needs can be catered for. Together we are a dedicated and specialist team in the application and after-care of professionally applied hair extensions and hair loss solutions.

As Rapunzel Ltd is a completely independent hair extension specialist, we have the power to source the hair directly and therefore do not come under the umbrella of another company (e.g. Racoon, Great Lengths, Easilocks, Balamain, Beauty Works etc.) therefore we can offer the best at all times.
